Removal Of The Epididymis On One Side

Vermont rates for HCPCS 54860

Removes the epididymis, the coiled tube sitting behind the testicle that stores and carries sperm, on one side only. It is taken out through a scrotal incision while the testicle itself is left in place. It is done for long-standing pain, repeated infection or a growth in that structure that has not settled with other treatment.
