Exchange of an Inflatable Penile Implant

Vermont rates for HCPCS 54410

Removes every part of an implanted inflatable penile device — the cylinders in the penis, the pump in the scrotum, and the fluid reservoir — and puts a complete new device in during the same operation. It is done when the existing implant has failed mechanically, leaked, or become poorly positioned. Tissue is not infected in this version, so the new device goes straight into the prepared space.
