Release of the Frenulum of the Penis

Vermont rates for HCPCS 54164

A small operation that divides the frenulum, the thin band of tissue on the underside of the penis running from the head to the foreskin. It is done when that band is too short or too tight, causing pain, tearing, or bleeding. The procedure is brief, done under local or general anesthesia, and does not remove the foreskin.
