The second and final operation of a two-stage repair of the deep section of the urinary channel in men, where it passes through the prostate and the pelvic floor. At this stage the channel that was opened and left to heal after the first operation is closed back into a tube so urine can flow normally again. It is done for a scarred narrowing or a break in that section, often months after a pelvic injury or earlier surgery.
