Removes small growths from the outer part of the urethra, either by cutting them away or by destroying them with an electrical current. Such growths can bleed, cause spotting on underwear, or make passing urine uncomfortable. It is a short procedure, usually done with local or light anesthesia, and the tissue is sent for laboratory examination.
