Laser Removal of Enlarged Prostate Tissue

Vermont rates for HCPCS 52649

Working through a scope passed along the urethra, a laser peels the enlarged inner portion of the prostate away from its outer shell, and the freed tissue is broken up and suctioned out through the scope. It relieves blocked urine flow from a benign enlarged prostate without any external incision. Controlling bleeding afterward and the smaller scope steps done at the same visit are part of the service.
