Bladder Scope With Removal Of Blood Clots

Minnesota rates for HCPCS 52001

A thin lighted scope is passed through the urethra into the bladder, which is then flushed with fluid so blood clots can be broken up and washed out. It is done when clots are blocking the flow of urine or stopping the bladder from emptying. The bladder lining is inspected during the same visit to look for the source of the bleeding.
