Closing A Bladder Drainage Opening

Closes a surgically made opening between the bladder and the skin of the lower abdomen that had been used to drain urine. The tract is freed up and the bladder wall and skin are stitched shut in layers. It is done once the bladder is emptying normally again and the opening is no longer needed.
