Removal of a section of the bladder wall, with the remaining bladder closed up and left to work as before. This is the more difficult version, used when earlier surgery, radiation damage, or an awkward location makes the removal and repair considerably harder. Moving the tubes from the kidneys to a new spot on the bladder is not part of this operation.
