Bladder Opened To Remove A Stone From The Ureter

Surgery in which the bladder is opened so the surgeon can reach a stone stuck in the lower part of the ureter, the tube draining urine from the kidney. The stone is caught in a small basket and pulled out, or broken into pieces first if it is too large to come free whole.
