Ureter Scope Through Existing Opening, Stone Removal

Vermont rates for HCPCS 50961

A scope is passed through an opening that already drains a ureter — the tube carrying urine from kidney to bladder — out to the skin, and a stone or a foreign object is grasped and pulled out through it. Baskets or graspers are passed down the scope to capture the object. No new surgical opening is made.
