Ureter Scope Through An Existing Opening

Vermont rates for HCPCS 50951

A scope is passed through an opening that already drains a ureter — the tube carrying urine from kidney to bladder — out to the skin, so the inside of that tube can be examined directly. The system can be flushed, medicine instilled, or contrast dye injected to outline it during the same visit. No new surgical opening is made.
