Keyhole Reattachment Of The Ureter To The Bladder

Vermont rates for HCPCS 50948

Uses keyhole surgery to detach the lower end of the ureter, the tube carrying urine down from the kidney, and reattach it to the bladder in a better position. It is done for a narrowed or damaged lower ureter, or when urine washes backwards from the bladder toward the kidney. The new junction protects the kidney from pressure and infection.
