Closing A Leak Between Ureter And Another Organ

Maryland rates for HCPCS 50930

Closes an abnormal channel that has formed between a ureter — the tube carrying urine from a kidney — and a neighboring organ such as the bowel, and repairs the organ involved in the same operation. Sealing the channel stops urine draining along the wrong path and stops contents of the other organ tracking back into the urinary tract. It is open abdominal surgery under general anesthesia with a hospital stay.
