Dye Injection For Urinary Drainage X-Rays

New Hampshire rates for HCPCS 50690

Contrast dye is injected so that X-ray pictures can show the ureters and the collecting systems of the kidneys, or a urinary channel built from a segment of bowel, and how urine drains through them. It is used to look for a leak, narrowing, blockage or backflow toward the kidneys. This covers the dye injection that makes the images possible; reading the X-rays is a separate service.
