Stone Removal, Lower Ureter

Delaware rates for HCPCS 50630

Open surgery to take out a stone lodged in the lower section of the ureter, the part nearest the bladder. Through an incision the surgeon opens the tube directly over the stone, lifts it out, and closes the tube so urine drains normally again. It is used when a stone cannot be passed or cleared by less invasive means.
