Kidney Scope Through An Existing Drainage Tract

Vermont rates for HCPCS 50551

A scope is passed through a drainage tract that already runs through the skin into the kidney, so the inside of the kidney's collecting system can be examined directly. The system can be flushed, medicine instilled, or contrast dye injected to outline it during the same visit. No new incision into the kidney is made.
