Removes a kidney along with part of the tube that carries urine from it to the bladder, using keyhole surgery through several small abdominal incisions. A camera and long instruments are used to free the kidney and seal its blood vessels before the organ is lifted out through a small opening. The remaining kidney takes over the work.
