Keyhole Kidney Stone Removal, Larger Stone

Vermont rates for HCPCS 50081

Removes stones from the kidney through a narrow tunnel made in the flank, with a scope passed directly into the kidney so stones can be broken up and the fragments taken out. This is the version used when the stone burden is on the larger side, which takes longer and more often needs more than one path or a second session. A drainage tube or stent is usually left in afterwards.
