Change of Feeding Tube Into the Intestine

Vermont rates for HCPCS 49446

Converts a feeding tube that ends in the stomach into a longer one that passes through the stomach and on into the small intestine. Live x-ray pictures and a small amount of dye guide the tip into place and confirm the position before feeding restarts. The existing opening in the abdominal wall is used, so no new incision is made.
