Keyhole Gallbladder Removal With Duct Exploration

Wyoming rates for HCPCS 47564

The gallbladder is removed through several small abdominal punctures using a camera and long instruments, and the main bile duct is also opened and explored during the same operation. Exploring the duct allows stones that have escaped into it to be found and removed. It is used when stones are known or suspected to be blocking the duct.
