Removing Bile Duct Stones Through a Skin Tract

Wyoming rates for HCPCS 47554

A thin scope is passed through an existing tube tract in the skin into the bile ducts, so the inside of the ducts can be seen directly. Stones blocking the duct are then captured and removed through that route. It is used when stones remain after gallbladder surgery or cannot be reached from the stomach side.
