Removal of a Bile Drainage Tube

Maryland rates for HCPCS 47537

Takes out a drainage tube that had been placed through the skin into the bile ducts inside the liver. Live x-ray pictures are used first to check that bile now drains the normal way, and the tube is then withdrawn and the small skin opening dressed. It is done once the blockage, leak or infection the tube was treating has settled.
