Bile Duct Drain Placed Through the Skin, Two-Way

Places a drainage tube into the bile ducts through the skin under imaging guidance, positioning it so that its tip passes beyond the blockage into the intestine. Bile can then drain onward internally as well as out through the tube to a bag. Dye is often injected to map the ducts during the same session.
