Stapled Hemorrhoid Repositioning

West Virginia rates for HCPCS 46947

Treats internal hemorrhoids that are slipping down by using a circular stapling device to remove a ring of tissue above them and pull the hemorrhoid cushions back up into their normal position. The staple line sits above the sensitive area near the anal opening, which tends to make it less painful than cutting the hemorrhoids out. It is done under anesthesia, usually as a day case.
