Repair Of A Bowel To Bladder Channel With Resection
Vermont rates for HCPCS 44661
Closes an abnormal channel that has formed between the intestine and the bladder, removing the diseased segment of bowel and, where needed, the affected part of the bladder wall, then repairing both. Such a channel lets bowel contents pass into the bladder, causing repeated infections and gas or debris in the urine. It is the version in which tissue has to be cut out rather than simply separated and stitched.
