Repair of a Hole in the Colon With Colostomy

Wyoming rates for HCPCS 44605

Stitches closed a hole, tear, or rupture in the large intestine and brings the bowel out to the skin as a colostomy, so stool is diverted while the repair heals. It is used after injury, a burst pouch in the bowel wall, or a perforation from ulceration. The colostomy can usually be closed at a later operation.
