Rebuilding A Colostomy

Vermont rates for HCPCS 44345

Reopens and rebuilds a colostomy, the opening on the abdomen where the colon has been brought out to the skin. The bowel is freed and repositioned so the opening sits and drains properly and an appliance can seal against the skin. It is done when the opening has narrowed, sunk in, slipped out, or stopped working.
