Keyhole Removal Of Colon With Low Rejoining

Vermont rates for HCPCS 44207

Removes a segment of the colon through small abdominal incisions with a camera, then joins the remaining bowel to the rectum deep in the pelvis. Working low in the pelvis is technically demanding and is what sets this apart from a join made higher in the abdomen. It is commonly done for cancer or disease of the lower colon.
