Keyhole Creation of a Small Bowel Stoma

Brings a loop or end of the small intestine out through the abdominal wall to form a stoma, so waste empties into a bag on the skin instead of traveling through the rest of the bowel. It is done with keyhole surgery through several small incisions using a camera and long instruments. It may be temporary, to rest bowel further along, or permanent.
