Partial Stomach Removal, Rejoined To Small Bowel

Vermont rates for HCPCS 43631

Removes the lower portion of the stomach and joins the remaining stomach directly to the duodenum, the first part of the small intestine, so food continues along its normal route. Keeping the natural path means food still passes through the duodenum as before. It is used for tumors, severe ulcer disease and other problems affecting the lower stomach.
