Hiatal Hernia Repair Through the Chest

Repairs a hernia in which part of the stomach has pushed up beside the food pipe through the opening in the diaphragm. The stomach is returned below the diaphragm and the opening is tightened, working through an incision in the chest between the ribs. The chest route is chosen when access from below would be difficult.
