Removal of a Stent From the Bile or Pancreatic Duct

Vermont rates for HCPCS 43275

During an examination in which a scope is passed through the mouth to the point where the bile and pancreatic ducts drain into the intestine, a stent or other foreign object is grasped and drawn out of the duct. It is done once a tube placed earlier has served its purpose, or when it has clogged or shifted out of position. Putting a new tube in is a separate service.
