Removes a branchial cleft cyst or leftover tract from the side of the neck, a pocket or channel of tissue left over from the way the neck forms before birth. This version covers growths that reach below the skin and the fatty layer beneath it, sometimes tracking deep in the neck as far as the throat. It is done through an incision, under general anesthesia.
