Removal Of Overgrown Gum Tissue

Pennsylvania rates for HCPCS 41828

This removes excess, overgrown gum tissue that has built up over the jawbone, often as a result of long-term denture wear, certain medications, or chronic irritation. The overgrown soft tissue is trimmed back to restore a more normal gum contour and to allow for a better-fitting denture or improved oral hygiene. It's a soft-tissue procedure and doesn't involve removing any bone.
