Tying Off The Main Lymph Duct Through The Abdomen

Delaware rates for HCPCS 38382

Ties or stitches closed the body's main lymph-fluid channel to stop lymph leaking out of it, reached through an incision in the abdomen. A leak of this fluid can pour into the chest or abdomen and cause breathlessness, swelling, and loss of protein and nutrients. It is done under general anesthesia when drainage and dietary measures have not stopped the leak.
