Tying Off the Great Saphenous Vein

Vermont rates for HCPCS 37700

Ties off and divides the large surface vein of the leg where it drains into the deep vein in the groin, so blood that had been pooling and running backwards is redirected into the deep system. It is used for varicose veins and the aching, swelling, and skin changes that come with them. The vein is interrupted rather than pulled out along its whole length.
