Stent Placement in an Additional Artery

Vermont rates for HCPCS 37237

Places a stent - a small mesh tube that props a vessel open - in a further artery during the same session, after one artery has already been treated. A catheter is guided to the narrowed segment through a puncture in a blood vessel, the artery is stretched open, and the stent is left behind to hold it. It is billed in addition to the main procedure and includes any ballooning done in that same artery.
