Liver Bypass Channel With Stent (Tips)

Washington, DC rates for HCPCS 37182

Creates a channel through the liver linking the vein carrying blood from the intestines to a vein leaving the liver, and props that channel open with a stent. A catheter is threaded to the liver through a vein in the neck, so no abdominal incision is needed. It lowers dangerously high pressure in the veins around the gullet and stomach.
