Stent Placement in a Dialysis Access Vein

Texas rates for HCPCS 36908

Placement of a small mesh tube called a stent to hold open a narrowed section of a large vein — closer to the chest — that carries blood from a dialysis access site back toward the heart. This narrowing can reduce blood flow needed for effective dialysis treatments. The stent is delivered through a catheter threaded into the vein, without open surgery.
