Two Tunneled Catheters With Ports Implanted

Delaware rates for HCPCS 36566

Places two separate long-term catheters into large veins near the heart, each entering through its own vein, and connects them to reservoirs implanted under the skin of the chest. Treatment is then given, or blood drawn, by putting a needle through the skin into a reservoir rather than into a vein each time. The catheters run for a short distance under the skin between the vein and the reservoir.
