Laser Vein Ablation of an Additional Vein

New Hampshire rates for HCPCS 36479

Closure of an additional incompetent (malfunctioning) vein in the same leg using laser energy delivered through a thin catheter, performed during the same session as treatment of the first vein. It is used for varicose veins, where the vein's valves no longer work properly and blood pools instead of flowing normally. Heat from the laser seals the vein shut, and blood flow reroutes through healthier nearby veins.
