Catheter Closure of a Faulty Leg Vein

Nebraska rates for HCPCS 36473

Seals off a leg vein whose valves have failed and which is feeding varicose veins and swelling. Through a needle puncture, a thin catheter is threaded inside the vein under ultrasound guidance and the vein wall is treated so the vein closes permanently; blood then returns through healthier veins. This covers the first vein treated.
