Femoral-Popliteal Bypass With Synthetic Graft

Vermont rates for HCPCS 35656

Reroutes blood around a blocked artery in the thigh by sewing a length of man-made tubing between the femoral artery in the groin and the popliteal artery behind the knee. It restores circulation to the lower leg when narrowing causes cramping pain on walking, pain at rest, or wounds that will not heal. The bridge is built from synthetic material rather than from one of the patient's own veins.
