Bypass From The Armpit To Both Groins

Vermont rates for HCPCS 35654

Carries blood from the artery beneath the collarbone and armpit, down under the skin of the chest and abdomen, to the arteries in both groins, using man-made tubing. It supplies both legs when the aorta or the arteries in the pelvis are blocked and opening the abdomen would carry too much risk. The tubing runs beneath the skin rather than inside the body cavity.
