Synthetic Bypass From A Pelvic Artery To The Gut

Washington, DC rates for HCPCS 35633

Routes blood from one of the large pelvic arteries to the artery that supplies the intestines, using a man-made tube as the new channel. It is done when that intestinal artery is blocked near its origin and the aorta is not a suitable place to attach a graft, restoring the blood supply the bowel needs to digest food. The operation is performed through an open abdominal incision.
