In-Place Vein Bypass From The Groin To The Knee

Pennsylvania rates for HCPCS 35583

Reroutes blood around a blocked artery in the thigh using a vein left in its own position in the leg rather than taken out. The vein's one-way valves are cut so blood can flow the other way through it, and its ends are joined to the artery in the groin and the artery behind the knee. It is done through incisions along the leg.
