Vein Bypass Between Two Pelvic Arteries

Massachusetts rates for HCPCS 35563

Uses a length of the patient's own vein to carry blood past a blocked or narrowed iliac artery, with both ends of the bypass on arteries inside the pelvis. The graft stays within the pelvis rather than running down into the thigh. Restoring the flow eases cramping in the buttock, hip or leg on walking and helps wounds further down get the blood they need to heal.
