Femoral-Popliteal Bypass Using A Vein Graft

Idaho rates for HCPCS 35556

Reroutes blood around a blocked artery in the thigh using a length of the patient's own vein, sewn between the femoral artery in the groin and the popliteal artery behind the knee. It restores circulation to the lower leg and foot when narrowing causes cramping pain on walking, pain at rest, or wounds that will not heal. The vein is normally taken from the same leg.
