Covers the extra work of operating again on the main artery in the neck more than a month after a previous operation on that vessel. Scar tissue from the earlier surgery must be dissected away from the artery and the nearby nerves before the vessel can be opened and cleared. It is billed in addition to the artery operation actually performed.
